What's To Come

I’m tired of feeling like shit.

I’m not happy with my life or myself. I know that things need to change but whenever I try to figure out what to change and how to change it, I get overwhelmed by the amount of things that I need to change.

But something has to change. I can’t just keep feeling this way.

So…

Time to make a plan.

When I was thinking about the things that I want to change and the goals that I want to work towards, I was able to sort nearly all of the things I want to change into three categories: Self, Lifestyle, Home. Self encompasses my weight, appearance, and mental health. For Lifestyle, I want to work on developing my hobbies and traveling. And finally, Home is making my house over so that it’s home and not just a house where I live.

I’ve made several attempts in the past to change my lifestyle and I’ve learned a few things. Unfortunately, when I list out all the things that I want to change, I end up becoming overwhelmed and abandoning efforts to change before anything actually changes. So this time I’ve decided to stick to concentrating on just one or two things at a time.

To be cliche, slow and steady wins the race.
